At first, I was a bit put off by the cramped, motel-like room and the somewhat dreary view of the marina and Sakurajima volcano. However, the staff really made a difference with their helpfulness, and I eventually felt quite at home there. The breakfast buffet had plenty of food to choose from, but the dining options during the typhoon were lacking, which was frustrating. Overall, it was a decent stay, especially considering the helpful staff and the convenience of being close to my daily destinations.

The staff were very kind and did their best to assist me despite the language barrier.
Location

The breakfast buffet had a good range of choices, but the dinner options were not appealing, especially when it came to some questionable menu items.
Facilities

Initially, I found myself a bit displeased with the room, which felt somewhat stuffy and came with a view of Sakurajima volcano that wasn't the most appealing. However, the helpful and friendly staff soon made a difference in my stay, and I eventually grew fond of the place. While the breakfast buffet offered plenty of options, the restaurant's dinner menu raised some concerns for me. Despite some challenges during Typhoon Khanun, I appreciated the clean and comfortable accommodations.

Rooms

The room I stayed in was spacious and clean, which ultimately made it comfortable despite my initial discomfort with the view.
Service
8.0
The staff were nice and accommodating, and they managed to handle tasks like calling taxis, though they struggled a bit with English.
Location
5.0
The hotel is a bit remote, requiring a 30-minute bus ride to reach the central area of Kagoshima, which can be a hassle for dining and entertainment.
Dining
6.0
While the breakfast buffet was decent with plenty of choices, I found the dinner options less appealing, particularly with the inclusion of some controversial dishes.
Facilities

Although the hotel has a nice escalator in the lobby, the overall facilities were a bit basic, and I wished for more diverse offerings.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the staff was helpful and accommodating, I initially found the room to be quite stuffy with an unattractive view. The breakfast buffet provided decent options, but the dining during a typhoon was disappointing. Overall, the value was reasonable, but the hotel's response to extreme weather could be improved.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms felt a bit dated and stuffy at first, with a contrasting view of a marina area, which wasn’t appealing. However, I got used to it and found it homey after some time. The room had a refrigerator and was opposite a convenience store, which added a slight convenience.
Service
7.0
The service was a mix; the hotel staff was cute and helpful, always ready to call taxis and offer assistance, but communication was a bit of a challenge due to the limited English proficiency.
Location
6.0
The location felt out of the way for exploring the city’s main attractions, but it was just a short walk from where I needed to go daily. It's also conveniently located near a grocery store that not many guests seem to know about.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast buffet had plenty of edible items, but I found the monotony a bit disappointing, especially during the typhoon when food options were limited. The hotel restaurant also had some questionable dining options.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel had basic facilities. There was an escalator in the lobby, which was helpful. However, the overall amenities felt lacking, especially during extreme weather conditions.

Initially, my stay was a bit rocky due to the small, stuffy room and the less-than-ideal view of the marina, but I grew to appreciate the place as I settled in. The breakfast buffet was quite satisfying, offering plenty of options to choose from, although the dining situation during the typhoon was disappointing. The hotel is conveniently located near the ferry terminal, making it easy to explore the surrounding areas, yet it’s somewhat isolated from the main tourist attractions.

Rooms

The hotel facilities were decent, though I would’ve appreciated more dining options during emergencies.

I ended up liking my stay after I got used to the room, which initially felt a bit stuffy with an odd view. The staff was quite pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast buffet had a good variety. However, the dining options for dinner were not impressive, and I was disappointed with the lack of food availability during a typhoon. Overall, it's a mixed experience with a cozy atmosphere but room and dining improvements needed.
